The "TEMPLIERS"
Lot of ink ran, how many beautiful stories were written on the differently named monk-soldiers "Knights of the Temple" or more simply "Templiers". The Command of the Temple was created into 1119 per Hugues de Payns in Jerusalem. This military and religious command had the role the protection of the Holy Land pilgrims. The Temple grows rich quickly thanks to the many gifts of which he was recipient. It was constituted very quickly in international organization under the high authority of the " Large Master ". It directed from Jerusalem the commanders of Occident and the Latin East. Each establishment was in fact a seigniory called " commandery ", one deducted some up to 9,000.
Very quickly, Templiers were confronted with the problem of leprosy. By creating maladreries (hospital for the leprous ones), out of the inhabited zones, they found a solution to protect the company from the leprous ones. Generally, the maladreries were built near the cities of which they could thus receive, food and assistance. In these " hospitals ", the patients could find confidence and dignity. Among leprous, some were only reached dermatoses. They could thus live normally, work and even cure.
During the fall of the Latin East, Templiers were folded up in Europe where their richness made them treasurers of King "de France" and the Pope. In 1307 , Philippe le Bel, (the "Beautiful" Philippe), jealouses one of their power, showed the Command of corruption. In order to seize its richnesses, it ordered the arrest of all Templiers living in France.It made pressure on the Pope Clement V , so that, it pronounces the dissolution of the Command. It took place on April 3rd 1312. The real goods of the Knights of the Temple dealt with Jean Saint Hospital of Jerusalem. The Large Master Jacques de Molay, as several of his companions, were tortured then condemned at the end of iniquitous and unworthy lawsuit long, which lasted seven years (1307-1314). They perished on roughing-hew it into1314.
